City Hall
Present: Laura Kauffman, Jackie Smith, Trish
Hines, John Park, Ronna Ward, Wayne
Armbruster, Phyllis Clymer, Ania Lasota, Carol
VanderBoegh, Ardenia Cleary, Candice Griffin,
Dabney Haugh.
Jackie Smith, Chair, called the meeting to
order at noon.
Board recited the Pledge of Allegiance while
phones were silenced.
April 2022 minutes were accepted by Candice
and Carol.
The May minutes were accepted pending
corrections buy Ania and Dabney.
*Treasurer report: Trish reported that we have
a checking balance of $4872.67 and today we
received our reimbursement check from the
city for #2932.74.
*Membership: Dabney handed out amended
by-laws concerning membership and
attendance policies. We have two new members
proposed.

Both were accepted unanimously by a show of
hands. Phillis will send them a letter of
invitation and they will be approved at the next
City Commission meeting.
*House of the Month: June: Award went to
Barb and Dwan Evens at 2222 Jefferson Street.
* Noble Park Dogwoods: Dabney reported the
new dogwoods planted in the Children's
Memorial Garde are struggling. She and her
husband Bob went to Noble Park and watered
them. It was suggested that we purchase water
bags to put around the trees to help them.
They began to look bad in two weeks' time.
Dabney asked Parks and Rec to water them
every day during this heat wave.
*Garden Club Liaison: Ania reported that
Mayfair was a nice event, and the McCracken
County Extension office is offering monthly
programs.
*New Business: Trish Hines is resigning from
the board currently. She was thanked for her
service. Candy Griffin will take over to the
position of Treasurer.
*Old Business: Phyllis has 20 dogwood lights
from PPS if anyone needs more. We also, need
to get started on our new project of awards for
non -profits in recognition of beautification
efforts. Individual will also be considered for
awards. Paul and Laura are chairs of this
committee.
