ORDINANCE NO. 2003-5- 0
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING
THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR A
2003 RECREATIONAL TRAILS REIMBURSEMENT GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2003 Recreational Trails
Reimbursement Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 969 on October 8, 2002, for construction
of a handicapped accessible ramp to cross the floodwall at Noble Park and for construction of a
10' wide trail for the Greenway Trails Project from Stuart Nelson Park to Bob Noble Park; and
WHEREAS, the Department for Local Government has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
Memorandum of Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Department for Local
Government to obtain a matching reimbursement grant in the amount of $50,000.00 for the 2003
Recreational Trails Grant Reimbursement Program. The City will provide matching funds in the
amount of $50,000, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged from PA0038.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
