ORDINANCE NO. 2003-12-6737
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF
TWO ALLEYS LOCATED ADJACENT TO 1201 SOUTH EIGHTH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of a
portion of two alleys located adjacent to 1201 South Eighth Street, and being more particularly
described as follows:
Being a portion of the alleyways located in Block 2 of the Bowman and Williams
Addition in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky and located south
of Husbands Street between 8th Street and South 9th Street and more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point in the west right of way line of South 8th Street and being in
the north line of a 10.00 foot alley, said point being located S3 1'00'00"E, 183.00
feet from the southwest intersection of the right of way lines of South 8th Street
and Husbands Street; thence S59°00'00"W and along the north line of the 10.00
foot alley, 165.00 feet to a point marking the northeast intersection of the 10.00
foot alley with a 16.50 foot alley; thence S3 1'00'00"E, 10.00 feet to a point
marking the southeast intersection of the 10 foot alley with a 16.50 foot alley;
thence N5 9'00'00"E and along the south right of way line of the 10.00 foot alley,
165 feet to a point in the west right of way line of South 8th Street; thence
N3 1100'00"W and along the west right of way line of South 8th Street, 10.00 feet
to the point of beginning. Said portion of alley to be closed contains 1,650.00
square feet.

Being a portion of the alleyways located in Block 2 of the Bowman and Williams
Addition in the City of Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky and located south
of Husbands Street between 8th Street and South 9th Street and more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at a point marking the northeast intersection of a 16.50 foot alley and a
10.00 foot alley, said point being located S59°00'00"W, 165.00 feet from the
northwest intersection of a 10.00 foot alley and South 8th Street, which point is
located S3 1100'00"E, 391.00 feet from the southwest intersection of the right of
way lines of Husbands Street and South 8th Street; thence S59°00'00"W, 16.00
feet to a point at the northwest intersection of the right of way lines of a 10.00 foot
alley and a 16.50 foot alley; thence N31100'00"W and along the west right of way
line of the 16.50 foot alley, 198.00 feet to a point marking the southwest
intersection of a 10.00 foot alley and a 16.50 foot alley; thence N59°00'00"E,
16.50 feet to a point marking the southeast intersection of the right of way lines of
a 10.00 foot alley and a 16.50 foot alley; thence S3 1'00'00"E and along the east
right of way line of the 16.50 foot alley, 198.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Said portion of alley to be closed contains 3,267 square feet.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405,
an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley
described in Section 1 above.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
