HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-12-6461213 ORDINANCE NO. 2001-12- (4#G/ AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING BID OF WAGNER WHOLESALE, L.L.C., D.B.A. SMOKE SHOP FOR THE CITY' S FUEL SUPPLY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Wagner Wholesale, L.L.C., d.b.a. Smoke Shop for the City's purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel at OPIS (Oil Price Information Service) plus $.09, through an automated fuel accounting system. Said contract is in substantial compliance with bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and bid of Wagner Wholesale, L.L.C., dated December 11, 2001, is for a term of two years and contains an option to renew for three additional one-year periods. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract between the City of Paducah and Wagner Wholesale, L.L.C. for the City's fuel supply and various services as set out in Section 1 above. SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to various accounts. SECTION 4. Due to the need to provide fuel to city vehicles without interrupted service, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading.
