ORDINANCE NO. 2001-11-
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR A 2001
RECREATIONAL TRAILS REIMBURSEMENT GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a 2001 Recreational Trails
Reimbursement Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 869 on January 23, 2001, to assist in
construction of a segment of the Greenway Project; and
WHEREAS, the Department for Local Government has approved the application
and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Department for Local Government to
obtain a matching reimbursement grant in the amount of $50,000.00 for the 2001 Recreational
Trails Grant Reimbursement Program. The City will provide matching funds in the amount of
$50,000, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-8821-536-
2307 (Project No. PA 0029)
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
