HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-11-6450200 ORDINANCE NO. 2001-11- (Zy'-ISO ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFRQNG ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located on Charter Oak Drive, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay; and WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city; and WHEREAS, the owners have requested such annexation in writing to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to finalize the annexation of the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; said real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows: Lying on the Easterly side of Charter Oak Boulevard and being part of the Earl and Audi Corder Estate recorded in Deed Book 413, page 641, McCracken County Court Clerk Office, McCracken County, Kentucky, and more particularly bounded and described as follows to wit: Beginning at a point in the Easterly right -of way line of Charter Oak Boulevard (22.5 feet from the centerline thereof) and the existing City of Paducah Corporate Limits at its intersection with the Northerly line, projected Southwestwardly of the Overland Development Corporation property per Deed book 936, Page 475 and Waiver of Subdivision recorded in Plat Section "L", Page 459, said point also being square to a point in the centerline of said Charter Oak Boulevard that is 829.3 feet as measured Southeastwardly along said centerline from its intersection with the centerline of Old Cairo Road (Kentucky Highway 305); THENCE FROM SAID POINT OF BEGINNING N 20° 00'00"W with the existing Easterly right-of-way line of said Charter Oak Boulevard and the present City of Paducah Corporate Limits, 450.00 feet to a point; thence N 78° 46' 00"E, 394.22 feet to a point; thence S 20° 00' 00" E, 450.00 feet to a point in the Northerly line of aforesaid Overland Development Corporation property; thence S. 78° 46' 00" W with said Northerly line and the Northerly line, projected Southwestwardly and passing a %Z inch rebar with cap No. 2105 at the Northwesterly corner of said Overland Development Corporation property at 391.78 feet for a total distance of 394.22 feet to the point of beginning, and containing 4.025 acres, as shown on "Plat of Annexation for Earl and Audi Corder Estate" prepared by Hunter Martin & Associates, Inc. dated October 30, 2001. 20.1 IJ L SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
