No quorum met. Open Discussion: Discussions surrounded future programming. Event awareness: increasing awareness to generate foot traffic. o Weekend Forecast is working well. o EDC: Using EDC for event awareness Reaching new audiences: goal of brand awareness; service awareness; o Idea of billboard at Hibbs Insurance or other Parking/Transport: advertising friendly neighbor parking with US bank & regions, utilizing trolleys during cold weather or peak times. Education piece for those unfamiliar with parking – fits well with regionalism. o Scooters & Pedal taverns: both in draft ordinance stage. Event locations: o Alternate locations inside Downtown might include Market House Square, Dolly McNutt Plaza o Is Downtown still competitive to keep events on site? What factors make other people choose different locations? Discussions surrounded campaigning for keeping events in DT vs encouraging and linking up with events outside Downtown. Collaboration opportunities: o CVB arts economic impact assessment coming up. o Helping to build collaboration with other organizations – cultural organizations, convention center, etc; focus group discussion with CVB and other stakeholders to streamline messaging, process, opportunities, and needs. Objective is to cast a unified vision and break down silos and beget collaboration. Format could be meet & greet, with representatives from stakeholder groups like KY Main Street, TN RiverLine, City/County. Event ideas: o Taste of Paducah: long, farmhouse style seating water street multiple restaurants providing different parts of the meal; ticketed event Board of Directors October 25, 2021 3:00 p.m. Meeting Minutes o Comic-con for Paducah using Convention Center o Family Friendly: family friendly events continue to be popular o School spirit related events: engaging new audiences via homecoming, pep rally, parade, window painting
