HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-15-2021The Paducah Creative & Cultural Council convened for a Council meeting on July 15, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. via video and/or audio teleconference. Upon a call of the roll, the following answered to their names: April Cochran, Shand Stamper, Cindy Ragland, Ty Wilson, and City Planning Director Nic Hutchison (5) Members Mary Katz and Melanie Reason were present. Council member Steven Page was not present. City Clerk Lindsay Parish was also in attendance. In order to keep the Council and public safe in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak and in accordance with Kentucky Executive Order 2020-243 and SB 150, all members of the Creative & Cultural Council participated using video and/or audio teleconferencing. The public was invited to view the meeting via the Zoom Virtual Meeting Link and call-in phone number. I APPROVE MINUTES FOR June 17, 2021 T. Wilson moves to approve minutes. C. Ragland seconds. No objections. All in favor. Minutes approved. II Update on NEA Grant and Project (Wilson) Change of scope is totally approved. We are moving forward with the directory website. III. Update on C&CC website (Parish) Website build quotes from: Socially Present , Horizon Media, artist Nikki May T. Wilson, N. Hutchinson, and M. Reason reviewed proposals and chose Socially Present based on cost and support over time. Cost includes: Branding Package, Discovery Session, 2 Rounds of revisions, Logo, Best practices, Homepage, Directory, 50 local artists to start, Photography, Will include email marketing set up, and Project completed before calendar year. Due to Fast turn around sub committee will be formed to help inform Socially Present 4 weeks for draft, then launch Directory sub-committee needs questions ready for discovery Question for including the arts organizations - we need to have them on our site S. Stamper and M.Reason will work on the branding Paducahmainstreet.org is another site done by Socially Present Opinions are that our website Jive with CVB tourism and mainstreet websites No strong opinions stated from the group other that it be EASY TO NAVIGATE AND READ Navigational sidebar, backlinking, Keep logo simple OTHER BUSINESS Cochran discusses informs council of the Kids Creative Arts Street Fair on the Square which will be held Aug 21 from 10-2:00. All Major creative non-profit organizations will be present Wants to have C&CC to have a booth or sponsor funding for twisty balloons L. Parrish and M. Reason will look for money for the funding for balloon man C. Raglan says she will man the booth and M. Reason will try to help Upon completing discussion of other business C.
