AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF W.A. DAVIS
CONSTRUCTION INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $79,500.00 FOR DEMOLITION OF
STRUCTURES IN THE 100 BLOCK OF WASHINGTON STREET, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of W.A. Davis
Construction Inc. in the amount of $79,500.0 for demolition of structures in the 100 block
of Washington Street, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid
specifications, advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of W.A. Davis
Construction Inc. dated May 18, 2001.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
W.A. Davis Construction Inc., according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 006-
1220-513-2307 CD0023.
SECTION 4. Due to the necessity to complete the demolition project
during this construction season, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
