HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-3-6336ORDINANCE NO.2001-3-6336 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 106-63 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 106-63 is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) On and after January 1 in each year, it shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any business, trade, occupation vocation, calling or activity mentioned in this article, in the city, until that person has first paid the amount of license tax to the Finance Director and has obtained a license as specified and required by this article . There shall be exempted from the requirements of this section and article: Those persons who are city residents and over the age of 65 years and who anticipate and do earn less than $10,200.00 in any calendar year from engaging in any business , trade, occupation, vocation, calling or activity mentioned in this article. (2) Those persons who anticipate and do earn less than $600.00 in any calendar year from engaging in any business , trade, occupation, vocation, calling or activity mentioned in this article. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
