AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JONES FENCE COMPANY
FOR ORNAMENTAL IRON FENCING FOR THE STREETSCAPE PHASE II PROJECT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME

�~ SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepting the bid of Jones Fence Company for
ornamental iron fencing for the Streetscape Phase II Project, in the amount of $42,180.00, said
bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and as
contained in the bid of Jones Fence Company, dated March 22, 2001.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Jones
Fence Company for all materials and labor necessary for the purchase and installation of the
ornamental iron fencing, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents
heretofore approved.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to account no. 040-1203-513-
SECTION 4. Due to the necessity to complete the fencing portion of the
Streetscape Project Phase II, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
become effective immediately with one reading.
