AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND ACTIVE.COM, INC.
REGARDING ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR PROGRAMMING OFFERED BY THE
PARKS DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Active. Com, Inc. has affiliated with the National Parks and
Recreation Association to offer online registration for programming offered by member
recreation departments; and
WHEREAS, the Paducah Parks Department wishes to allow participants
to register online for Parks and Recreation activities.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
an Agreement between the City of Paducah and Active.Com, Inc. which will provide an
option for online registration and payment by participants in Paducah Parks and
Recreation programs. The term of this contract shall be two years, including a 60 -day
option to renew.

SECTION 2. This sum will be credited to Account No. 001-0000-480-
SECTION 3. In order to allow sufficient time to establish this online
registration program and give participants time to utilize online registration and payment
before the spring and summer recreation programs begin, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading.
