AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF TUPELO FIRE
EQUIPMENT FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PROTECTIVE FIRE GEAR FOR THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:

SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the following bids of Tupelo
Fire Equipment for sale to the City of protective fire gear for use by the Fire Department:
Protective Clothing/Bunker Gear $16,890.00
Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs) $19,990.00
Carbon Cylinders/Air Tanks $ 5,990.00
Total $42,870.00
Said bids being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for
bids, and as contained in the bids of Tupelo Fire Equipment of September 7, 2001.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Tupelo Fire Equipment for purchase of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 001-
1802-522-4212.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
