HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 18, Page 4, Ordinance Number 72-12-738ORDINANCE NO. 72-12-738 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORKMAN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1973 WITH WOODALL & MELTON, INC. WHEREAS, the present Workman's Compensation Insurance coverage for the employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, will expire on January 1, 1973, and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah must purchase a new policy, and WHEREAS, Woodall & Melton, Inc. has submitted the best proposal provi- ding such coverage for the City of Paducah, Kentucky. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to purchase workman's compensation insurance from Woodall & Melton, Inc. covering the employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, from January 1, 1973 to January 1, 1974 for a deposit premium of $68,477.91 and such additional sums as may be required for payroll increases above the payroll for the preceding year. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
