HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 18, Page 1, No Resolution Number1 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR ONE NEW 1973 MEDIUM SIZE FOUR DOOR SEDAN FOR USE BY THE MAYOR, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for bids for one (1) new 1973 four door, medium size automobile for use by the Mayor, said vehicle to have the following minimum specifications and requirements: 350 cubic inch, 8 -cylinder engine 4 barrel carburetor 124 inch wheel base Automatic transmission Power disc brakes on front Protective molding, Tinted glass all around Custom chrome wheel covers White wall tires Automatic climate control, heater and air conditioning combination Safety rubber tip bumper with guards and strips Power windows and door locks vinyl top AM radio Split front seat with separate control for each side Customized interiors Color to be selected upon acceptance of bid Body style to be four door hardtop Each bidder shall state the amount he will accept in cash, including all applicable taxes, for sale to the City of the above described vehicle, and also the amount the bidder will allow for a trade-in of a 1971 Ford four door LTD with white bottom and black vinyl top, which vehicle may be inspected on request at the City Hall. SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for sealed bids by notice posted up at the City Hall door and by publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424. No bid shall be opened within ten days fron the date 2 on which the resolution is adopted, and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up to the time for opening of same shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The City shall have the right to refuse and reject any and all bids. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
