IN THE BASE BID AMOUNT OF $9,875.00 FOR ROOF REPAIRS TO THE PADUCAII-JAYCEE CIVIC CENTER, 2701 PARI{ AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the base bid of Mangrum Roofing Company, Inc. in the amount of $9,875.00 for roof repairs to the Paducah -Jaycee Civic Center, 2701 Park Avenue, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on July 22, 1975, and as contained in the bid of Mangrum Roofing Company, Inc. dated August 4, 1975. SECTION 2. That the contract between the City of Paducah, Kentucky and Mangrum Roofing Company, Inc. shall provide that any alteration or deviation from the specifications for the aforesaid project, which involve extra cost, will be executed only upon written orders, which are approved in advance by the City Engineer, and in no event shall the sum total of all extra costs involving the aforesaid project exceed the amount of 15% of the base bid of Mangrum Roofing Company, Inc. SECTION 3. That the City Manager be, and lie is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Mangrum Roofing Company, Inc. for the roof repairs to the Paducah -Jaycee Civic Center, 2701 Pari: Avenue, under the provisions contained in Sections I and 2 above, and according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contrnct documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION •1. All charges on the aforesaid project shall be charged to Public Works Cumulative. Reserve Fund. SECTION 5. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore, be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be puri upon its final pas�;age, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
