ORDINANCE NO. 75-8-1156
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF SANCO CORPORATION FOR
SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAIi OF A NEW 1974 MODEL G.M.C. FRONT LOADING
REFUSE TRUCK, PLUS A WASHOUT TANK ACCESSORY, FOR USE BY THE REFUSE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAII, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of
Sanco Corporation for sale to the City of a new 1974 Model G.M.C. front loading
refuse truck, plus a washout tank accessory, for the sum of 430,666.00 for use by
the Refuse Department (no city vehicle will be traded in on this transaction) ,
said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement
for bids as was authorized by resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on July 1, 1975, and as contained in the bid of Sanco Corporation dated July 14, 1975.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Sanco Corporation for the sale to the City of the vehicle
authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and all
contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said vehicle shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3514.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for
one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon
its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
