HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-9-6410135 ORDINANCE NO. 2001-9- fair D AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY INTENT TO ANNEX CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located between New Holt Road, Perkins Creek, Hansen Road and U. S. 60, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay; and WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to annex the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and be made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky said real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows: Beginning at a point located at the intersection of the west right of way line of New Holt Road and the north line of the L & H Properties Inc. tract, D.B. 881 P. 24; thence 209.44 feet along an arc to the right having a radius of 649.07 feet, the chord of which is South 19 degrees 40 minutes 57 seconds West, 208.53 feet to a point located in the south line of the said L & H Properties Inc. tract, thence, along the south line of said tract N 85 degrees 44 minutes 56 seconds West, 145.28 feet to the southwest corner; thence, along the west line of said L & H tract North 5 degrees 04 minutes 45 seconds East, 201.30 feet to the northeast corner; thence, along the north boundary of said L & H tract, South 85 degrees 40 minutes 17 seconds East, 197.86 feet to the point of beginning. The above described parcel contains .819 acres more or less as surveyed by Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. in September, 1999 under the supervision of Roger L. Colburn, KLS 3236. SECTION 2. This ordinance shat ere two, separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursua%to KRS Ch,r 424.
