HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 939, No Resolution Number938 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN A PETITION TO THE FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION REQUESTING CERTAIN WAIVERS OF THE FCC CABLE TELEVISION RULES AND REGULATIONS AND A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE BE GRANTED FOR THE PADUCAH, KENTUCKY CABLE TV SYSTEM BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be, and she is hereby, authorized to execute a petition from the City of Paducah, Kentucky to the Federal Communications Commission, requesting certain waivers of the Commission's Cable Television Rules and a Certifi- cate of Compliance be granted for the operation of a Cable Television System in the City of Paducah, this being a document entitled, COMMENTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ON THE APPLICATION AND A REQUEST FOR WAIVERS, which generally supports a CAC application filed by the franchisee, Comcast Cable of Paducah, Inc. , on May 30, 1975, with the Federal Communications Commission and the document also specifically requests waivers be granted for the City of Paducah's Cable TV Ordinance and franchise requirement of a 5% franchise fee and Local Technical Standards. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and atter the date of its adoption.
