HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 932, Ordinance Number 75-6-1141932 ORDINANCE NO. 75-6-1141 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY BLACK & SON, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CLASSROOM AND DEMONSTRATION BUILDINGS FOR USE BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGE TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Ray Black & Son, Inc. for construction of classroom and demonstration buildings for use by the Paducah Fire Department, said bid being in the amount of $45, 895.00; said bid hav the required specifications as set out in the Invitation for Bids, Contract Document: and the Resolution authorizing such bids, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 20, 1975, and as contained in the bid of Ray Black & Son, In dated June 5, 1975. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Ray Black & Son, Inc. for the construction project as set out in Section 1 above, according to said resolution, invitation for bids, contra documents and the bid of Ray Black & Son, Inc. SECTION 3. All costs by the City of Paducah relating to the subject construction and contract shall be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2225. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immedintely thereafter.
