AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10-54, "CEMETERY DEPARTMENT",
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 10-54, "Cemetery Department" of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended by amending Subsection (a)
and adding a new Subsection (d) so that said section as amended and reordained shall
hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-54. Cemetery department.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions
in the cemetery department and the salary of each position, provided the amount of
such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted,
shall be as follows:

Base Monthly Salary
Foreman in charge of department 785.00
Base Hourly Rate
Equipment Operator 'C' 3.76
Truck Drivers (3 positions) 3.46
Laborers (3 positions) 3.23
(d) Equipment Operator 'C' shall be paid at the base hourly rate for
the first six months of employment and at the expiration of six months $3.81 per hour,
such increase to be made upon recommendation of the city manager."
SECTION 2. Section 1 amends Section 8-C of an ordinance originally
adopted on December 2, 1947, and which was last amended by Ordinance No. 75-3-1098,
dated March 25, 1975.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and retroactive to April 28, 1975.
