ORDINANCE NO. 75-3-1099
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEASE OF THE PREMISES KNOWN AS
2701 PARK AVENUE TO THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY RECREATIONAL, TOURIST
AND CONVENTION COMMISSION, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
SUCH DOCUMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a lease on behalf of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, leasing the premises more
particularly described in Section 2 below to the Paducah -McCracken County Recreational,
Tourist and Convention Commission for a term of one year, commencing April 1, 1975,
and terminating on March 31, 1976, at the annual rental of $2,400.00, to be payable
in equal installments in advance on the first day of each month; said lease shall
contain such other appropriate legal provisions as may be approved by the Corporation
Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. The property referred to in Section 1 above is more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northwest corner of
the intersection of Hinkleville Road with Thompson
Avenue; thence westerly with the north line of
Hinkleville Road (Park Avenue) 200 feet; thence
northwardly and parallel with Thompson Avenue
(now Mathis Drive) 200 feet; thence eastwardly
and parallel with Hinkleville Road 200 feet to
a point on the west line of Thompson Avenue;
thence Southwardly and with the West line
of Thompson Avenue 200 feet to the point of
beginning.
Also a tract of land lying adjacent to and West of the
foregoing described property and paved and fenced for
parking purposes, and more particularly described as
beginning, at a point on the North line of Park Avenue
200 feet West of the Northwest corner of tlie intersection
of Park Avenue and Mathis Drive; thence Westerly with
the North line of Pnrk Avenue 200 feet; thence Northwardly
and parallel with Mathis Drive 200 feet; thence Pastwardly
and parallel with Park Avenue 200 feel to a point on the West
line of the above described property; thence. Sotnhwardly
with the West line of said property 200 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall he in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
