That Section 10-52 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of I Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: i "Sec. 10-52 Street department - generally. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the street department, and the salaries of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position Base Monthly Salary Night foreman 811.00 Foreman (4 positions) 776.00 Garage foreman 776.00 Office manager 580.00 ij Base Hourly Rate Sewer maintenance man (6 positions) 3.66 Equipment operator "A" (5 positions) 3.96 Equipment operator "B" (6 positions) 3.86 Equipment operator "C" (2 positions) 3.76 Street repairman (6 positions) 3.56 Truck drivers (12 positions) 3.46 Night watchman 3.46 Laborers (3 positions) 3.23 Chief mechnnic 4.06 Mechanic Class "A" (5 positions) 3.96 tlechanic Class "B" (2 positions) 3.76 Conercte finisher (3 positions) 3.96 Vehielo body repairman 3.86 (b) Office manager shall he pain at the rate of $580.00 per month for- the first year of employment; at the expiration of one yenr $598.00 per month: and at the expiration of two years 5608.00 per rxnth, such increases to be muds upon recommendation of fisc city manager. 847 (c) Laborers shall be paid at the rate of $3.23 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $3.28 per hour; at the expiration of one year $3.33 per hour; and at the expiration of two years $3.38 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (d) All other positions of hourly employment shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment, and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recom- mendation of the city manager." SECTION 2. That Section 10-53 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-53. Refuse department. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the refuse (sanitation) department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position Base Hourly Rate Collectors (23 positions) 3.23 Truck Drivers class "A" (3 positions) 3.66 Truck Drivers (8 positions) 3.46 Tire repairman (1 position) 3.66 Equipment operator "A" (2 positions) 3.96 Mechanic class "B" 3.76 (b) Collectors shall be paid at the rate of $3.23 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $3.28 per hour; at the expiration of one year $3.33 per hour, and at the expiration of two years $3.38 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (c) Collectors assigned to operate vehicular collection equipment shall be assigned on the Nasi^ of seniority and qualifications and shall receive an additional S0. 10 per hour for hours worked in the operation of the vehicles. t (d) All other positions of hourly employment, except class "A" truck driver, i shall he paid at the base hourly rate for the firta six months of employment and at the. expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increm.ed by $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager." StCTION 3. That S,.ction 10-54 of the. Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Fr-ntucky, Lc amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: 848 I "Sec. 10-54. Cemetery department. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the 1 cemetery department and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: �I Position Base 1%lonthly Salary i I Foreman in charge of department 785.00 Base Hourly Rate Truck drivers (3 positions) 3.46 Laborers (3 positions) 3.23 (b) Laborers shall be paid at the rate of $3.23 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $3.28 per hour; at the expiration of one year $3.33 per hour; and at the expiration of two years $3.38 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (c) All other positions of hourly employment shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment, and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recom- mendation of the city manager." SECTION 4. That Section 10-55 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and I reordained shall hereafter read as follows: i "Sec. 10-55. Floodwall department. SECTION 5. That Section 10-56 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-56. Sewage disposal department. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the sewage disposal department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position Chief operator Maintenance man Base Monthly Salary 859.00 801.00 Operators (3 positions) 642.00 (b) Operators shall be paid at the rate of $642.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $652.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $662.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $672.00 per month, and at the expiration of three years $682.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager." SECTION 6. That Section 10-59 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-59. Parks and recreation department. That Section 10-61 of the Code of Ordinances of the City Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-61. Unassigned positions. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions nc assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supero of the city manager, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of suet salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, sha be as follows: Position Rase Alonthly Sala Director of public services 1,512.00 City Clerk 864.00 Secretary to city manager and mayor 70G.00 Social worker 525.00 Planning & 7oning Administrator 750.00 Personnel -purchasing clerk -typist 445.00 MAINTENANCE Chief of maintenance divison 904.00 Rase hourly Rate Veter maintenance man 3.76 Chief mninterance man - OSHA inspector 4.11 "o. 2 maintenance man (2 positions) 3.G6 .laintrrnnre helper (2 positi(,ns) 3.5G Janitor 3.33 Assistant janitor (2 positions) 2.93 Laborer 3.23 INSPECTIONS Base Monthly Salary Building and electrical inspector 1,000.00 Assistant to building and electrical inspector 600.00 Clerk -typist 445.00 (b) The building and electrical inspector shall perform the duties formerly performed by the building inspector and the electrical inspector, and said building and electrical inspector shall be under the direct supervision of the city manager. (c) Maintenance positions shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment, and at the expiration of six months the rate of pay shall be increased by $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (d) Janitor and laborer positions shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months there may be an increase of $0.05 per hour; at the expiration of one year there may be an additional increase of $0.05 per hour, and at the expiration of two years there may be an additional increase of $0.05 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager. (e) The clerk -typist shall be paid at the rate of $445.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $490.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $500.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $510.00 per month; and at the expiration of three years $520.00 per month, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city manager." SECTION 8. Sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 amend Ordinance No. 74-12-1062 adopted December 30, 1974, and Section 2 amends Ordinance No. 74-9-1018 adopted September 3, 1974. SECTION 9.
