HOLMES, SR., 724 JONES STREET, TO PURCHASE THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH IN A CERTAIN LOT ON 8TH STREET SOUTH OF JONES STREET, FOR THE SUM OF $100.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the offer of Earnest E. Holmes, Sr. in the amount of $100.00 to purchase the interest of the City in the following described land in said city be accepted, said land being described as follows: Fronting 27.58 feet on the East side of 8th Street 137.42 feet South of Jones Street, and running back East 50 feet along an alley, and as shown on page 38 of Block Map Book 5 in the office of the City Engineer. See deed to IV. F. Bradshaw in Deed Book 130, page 571. Being the same land (Rosena IV. Bradshaw estate) conveyed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky by Benjamin C. LeRoy, City Treasurer, by deed dated March 11, 1975, and of record in Deed Book 570, page 123 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2. Upon the payment of the sum of $100.00 to the City Treasurer, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to convey to Earnest E. Holmes, Sr. all the right, title and interest of the City in the property described in Section 1 hereof, and said deed of conveyance shall be quitclaim only, shall contain no warranty as to title, and shall be subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
