NO. 75-2-1084 AN ORDINANCE CREATING SECTION 25-15 "COMMUNICATIONS CLERK - POSITION CREATED"; SECTION 25-16 "SAME - DUTIES'; SECTION 25-17 "SAME - SUPERVISION"; SECTION 25-18 "SAME - NOT MEMBER OF DEPARTMENT OR ENTITLED TO CIVIL SERVICE BENEFITS; REMOVAL"; AND SECTION 25-19 "SAME - SALARY", OF CHAPTER 25, "POLICE", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAlI, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF TILE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That there is hereby created as a part of Chapter 25 "Police" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following section "Section 25-15. Communications clerk - position created. There is hereby created and established two positions of noncivil service police department communications clerk for the City of Paducah." SECTION 2. That there is hereby created as a part of Chapter 25 "Police" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following section: "Section 25-16. Same - duties. The duties of the person holding the position established in Section 25-15 shall be to serve as a communications clerk for the police department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and perform all other incidental and necessary clerical services and functions in connection therewith." SECTION 3. That there is hereby created as n part of Chapter 25 "Police" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following section: "Section 25-17. Same - supervision. Each person holding the position of communications clerk shall be under the supervision and direction of the chief of the city police department." SECTION 4. That there is hereby created as a part of Chapter 25 "Police" of the Code of Ordinances Of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following section: "Section 25-18. Same, not momber of department or entitled to civil service benefits:; removal. Any person employed ns; it communications clerk shall not thereby become a member of the police department of the city; shall not he entitled to any civil service benefits under any lave or ordinance; and shall be subject to removal from the position at any time by the Board Of Commissioners." 808 SECTION 5. That there is hereby created as a part of Chapter 25 "Police" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the following section: "Section 25-19. Same - salary. Any person occupying the position of communications clerk in the police department of the City of Paducah, shall be paid at the rate of $505.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $515.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $525.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $535.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $545.00 per month; and at the expiration of five years $555.00 per month. Communications clerk shall be eligible to receive the longivity pay as other regular full time employees of the City as is provided in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah." SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
