FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE BASE STATION WITH TONE ENCODING EQUIPMENT AND ASSOCIATED REMOTE CONTROL EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH CIVIL DEFENSE SYSTEM, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: I; SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Motorola Communications I and Electronics, Inc. for sale to the city of one base station with tone encoding equipment and associated remote control equipment to be used by the City of Paducah Civil Defense j System, for the price of $5,550.52, f.o.b. Paducah, and excluding applicable taxes, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 26, 1974, and as contained in the bid of Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc. dated 1 December 18, 1974. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Motorola Communications and Electronics. Inc. for the sale to the i City of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. J SECTION 3. The purchase price for said equipment shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 2365. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the it I completed form in which it slinll be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
