A RESOLUTION SELECTING AND DESIGNATING ALLEN AND BARNETT,
CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS, PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO AUDIT THE RECORDS
OF THE ELECTRIC PLANT BOARD OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FROM
JULY 1, 1974 TO JUNE 30, 1975
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
on October 29, 1974, pursuant to the authority of KRS 96.840 and a duly adopted
resolution by the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, recommended
the hiring of the firm of Frerman & Smiley, Certified Public Accountants, to be appointed
to make the audit of the Electric Plant Board's records from July 1, 1974 to June 30, 1975,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, has
been duly informed that the firm of Frerman & Smiley has closed its Paducah office and
assigned all of its contracts to the firm of Allen and Barnett, and
WHEREAS, by a resolution adopted January 8, 1975, the Electric Plant Board
of the City of Paducah recommended the hiring of the firm of Allen and Barnett to replace
the firm of Frerman & Smiley for the aforesaid audit.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the firm of Allen and Barnett, Certified Public Accountants
of Paducah, Kentucky, are hereby selected and designated to replace the firm of Frerman &
Smiley for the purposes of auditing the records of the Electric Plant Board of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, as provided by KRS 96.840, and that the expense of such audit
shall constitute an operating expense of said Board.

SECTION 2. The compensation for such audit shall be based upon the standard
fees of Certified Public Accountants, however, the total cost of same shall not exceed

the sum of $3.500.00.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of
this resolution to the Superintendent of the Paducah Power System, the Chairman of
the Electric Plant Board of the City of Paducah, Frerman & Smiley and Allen & Barnett.
SECTION 4. This resolution shall he in full foree and effect from and
aftra• the date of its adoption.
