AN ORDINANCE AnIENDING SECTION 2-49 "CITY MANAGER -GENERALLY"

AND CREATING SECTION 2-50 "SAUTE - RETIREMENT ACCOUNT", OF THE CODE OF
11 ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAII, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
I PADUCAII, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 2-49 "City illanager - generally", of the Code
I of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that

said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 2-49. b tity manager - Generally.
The city manager shall receive a salary for his services at the rate of
twenty-six thousand one hundred dollars ($26,100.00) per year. Such salary shall
be paid at the times other city salaries are paid, and shall be exclusive of the compen-
sation paid to him as a member of the electric plant board of the city. In the event the
individual holding the position of city manager is a licensed and practicing attorney
in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, he shall hear the title of associate counsel and may
assist the corporation counsel in any legal matters involving the City of Paducah."
SECTION 2. That there is hereby created a new section to be known as
Section 2-50 "Same - Retirement Account" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of

Paducah, Kentucky, which shall hereafter read as follows:

"Sec. 2-50. Some - Retirement Account.
' The city manager g may, at his option, direct that up to ,1,500.00 per
annum of his annual salary as provided under Section 2-49 be paid by the City of
I
Paducah into a designated retirement benefit plan. The aforesaid retirement benefit
pl:un miry be selected or designated by the city manager and methods of payments
therein moy also be so selected or designated by the city manager, but shall not
exceed $1,500.00 per annum."

SECTION 3. Section 1 above amends Section 1 of an ordinance adopted by
the Ro.:,rd of Commissioners on July 22, 1'952 and last amended by Section 2 of

Ordinance No, 74-3-9:15 adopted March 12, 1074.
SEC'T'ION 3. This ordinruuc shall he in full force and effect filum and
after the• date of its adoption and retroactive to .1 anu rY 6, 1975.
