HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 78, Ordinance Number 73-2-76178 ORDINANCE NO. 73-2-761 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-4 "OBSTRUCTION OF STREETS BY TRAINS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Section 28-4 "Obstruction of Streets by trains" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that so much of said section as amended and reordained shall be as follows: "(a) No railroad company shall obstruct any public highway or street, or the navigation of any stream by stopping and permitting trains, engines or cars to stand upon a public grade crossing or upon a draw- bridge for more than five minutes at any one time, unless such stopping and standing is caused by circumstances beyond the control of the rail- road company. (b) Any railroad company, firm or corporation violating this section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than $5.00 nor more than $100.00." SECTION 2.
