(i) Fire marshall shall be paid at the rate of $875.00 per month until ho i lir„ served with the city for seventeen years; at the expiration of seventeen years he stmll be paid at the rate of 3880.00 per month; at the expiration of twenty years he shall he paid at the rate of 4885.00 per month. j 767 768 x x •x x x x x x x (k) All members of the fire department, exclusive of the chief, assistant chiefs and fire marshall shall be paid a supplementary expense allowance for uniforms and food purchased for use while on duty at the fire station in an amount not exceeding $360.00 per year•. $120.00 of the sum shall be used exclusively for purchase of uniforms, and �J$240.00 per year may be used for food expenses. Expenses shall be reimburseable only upon submission of a sworn voucher by each member of the fire department. i The uniform portion of the expense allowance may be used at any time during the calendar year, but shall not be carried over from year to year. The maximum allowable portion for food shall be $20.00 pet• month, and such sums shall not be carried over from month to month if they remain unused. All new employees shall be entitled to a uniform allowance in the first year of their employment at the rate of $10.00 per month. For purposes of calculating a month, full credit shall be given for fifteen calendar days." SECTION 2. That Section 12-28 "Same - salary" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 12-28. Same - Salary. Any person occupying the position of noncivil service fire department switchboard operator shall be paid at the rate of $598.00 per month for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $603.00 per month; at the expiration of one year $608.00 per month; at the expiration of two years $613.00 per month; at the expiration of three years $618.00 per month. The said switchboard operator shall be entitled to receive the same longevity pay as all other regular full time employees of the City of Paducah as is provided in Section 2-54 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah." SECTION 3. Section 1 amends an ordinance originally enacted December 11, 1951 and last amended by Ordinance No. 74-6-990 adopted June 18, 1974, and Section 2 amends an ordinance originally enacted February 28, 1965 and last amended by Ordinance. No. 74-4-968 adopted April 23, 1974. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and cffuct from I and after January 6, 1975. i Ilr•ncy�'uryaar.
