AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION 7-9
"ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS; BUILDING PERMIT FEES PRESCRIBED", OF TUE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY;
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 7-9 "Issuance of building
permits; building permit fees prescribed", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that same as amended and reordained
shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 7-9. Issuance of building permits; building permit fees prescribed.
(a) The building and electrical inspector shall, upon his approval of
plans and specifications for buildings and structures in accordance with the provisions
of the building code and the standards of safety adopted by this article and all laws and
ordinances relating to the same subject matter, issue the permit required by such
building code to the applicant therefor upon the payment to the city of the following
fees based upon the cost of the construction, alteration or repair of the building or
structure:
(1) If the cost is less than $1,000.00, the fee shall be $5.00.
(2) If the cost is more than $1,000.00, up to and including
$3,000.00, the fee shall be $10.00.
(3) If the cost is more than $3,000.00, the fee shall be $10.00
for the first $3,000.00, plus $3.00 for each additional
$1,000.00 or fractional part thereof, up to and including
$100,000.00.
(4) If the cost is more than $100,000.00, up to and including
$500,060.00, the fee shall be $10.00 for the first $3,000.00
plus $3.00 for each additional $1,000.00, up to and including
$100.000.00, plus $2.00 for each additional $1,000.00, up to
and including $500,000.00.
(5) If the cost is more thnn $500,000.00, the fee shall h: $10.00
for the first $3,000.00, plus "3.00 for each additional $1,000.00
up to and including 5100,000.00, plus $2.00 for each additional
$1,606.00 up to and including $500,000.00, plu, $1.00 for each
$1,000.06therenfter.

SECTION 2. This ordinance amends an ordinance adopted on September
24, 1946, and last amended on November 15, 1966.
SECTION* 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
