ORDINANCE NO. 74-11-1052 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF PRESLEY PLUMBING AND HEATING COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER EXTENSIONS NEAR I-24 AND U. S. HIGHWAY 62 INTERCHANGE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the bid of Presley Plumbing and Heating Company for construction of sewage extensions in the vicinity of 1-24 and U. S. Highway 62 inter- change be accepted, said bid being dated November 7, 1974 and in substantial compliance with the resolution requesting bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on October 22, 1974. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and lie is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Presley Plumbing and Heating Company for the construction of sewage extensions in the vicinity of I-24 and U. S. Highway 62 interchange as set forth in Section 1 above at a total contract price not to exceed the sum of $159,501.97. SECTION 3. The cost of said construction work shall be charged to General Fund Account No. 3455. SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
