AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17-139 "PAYMENT DEADLID
EXTENSIONS" OF ARTICLE III "LICENSE FEE FOR EMPLOYEES", OF THE Ct
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAII, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE C
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 17-139 "Payment deadline extensions"
Article III "License Fee for Employees", of the Code of Ordinances of the Ci
Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said section as am,
reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 17-139. Payment deadline extensions.
Whenever in Article III of this Chapter a payment deadli
has been established, such payment deadline shall be extended
follows: If the last day for payment falls on a Saturday or Sund+
payment may be made on the following business day in the city,
which in all cases shall be Monday unless that Monday is declar
as a legal holiday in the city. Payment shall be tendered to the
Treasurer before closing time on such day, or may be tendered
provided the transmittal is postmarked before midnight of the fii
permissible day for payment without penalty. All payments oth,
in cash shall be by a good and valid negotiable instrument and 1
in full upon presentment to the depository upon which it is drav
SECTION 2. This ordinance amends Section 15 of Ordinance Nc
which wns adopted by the Board of Commissioners on November 10, 1970.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
