HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 682, Ordinance Number 74-9-1025682 ✓ ORDINANCE NO. 74-9-1025 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY BOUNDED BY THE CITY LIMITS ON THE SOUTH, PARKER STREET ON THE WEST, THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF JOHN NELSON PROPERTY AND WEST OF BELTLINE HIGHWAY, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 16, 1974, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY BOUNDED BY THE CITY LIMITS ON THE SOUTH, PARKER STREET ON THE WEST, THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF JOHN NELSON PROPERTY AND {VEST OF BELTLINE HIGHWAY" be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and tate map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3, Medium Density Residential Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone; Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Parker Street with the present city limits; thence in a northeasterly direction along and with the centerline of Parker Street a distance of 1,158 feet to a point in the centerline of Koerner Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along and with the centerline of Koerner Street a distance of 30 feet to a point; thence at right angles and parallel with the centerline of Parker Street a distance of 172 feet to a point; thence at right angles and parallel with Koerner Street a distance of 417 feet to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction, and parallel with Bridge Street a distance of 330 feet to a point, corner to the existing R-4 zone; thence in a northeasterly direction and along the present R-4 zone dividing line, same running parallel to Locust Street, a distance of 497 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a southeasterly direction a distance of 493.75 feet to a point in the centerline of Koerner Street; thence at right angles and in a northeasterly direction along and with the centerline of Koerner Street a distance of 62.5 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a south- easterly direction a distance of 492.5 feet to a point in the centerline of a 15 foot alley lying between and running parallel with Lieberman Street and Main Street; thence at right angles and in a southwesterly direction, along and with the centerline of said 15 foot alley a distance of 3 feet; thence at right angles and in a southeasterly direction a distance of 1,157 feet to a point in the present city limits line; thence at right angles and in a southwesterly direction along and with the present city limits line a distance of 235.6 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency 683 or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
