HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 657, Ordinance Number 74-8-1011657 ORDINANCE NO. 74-8-1011 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE AMENDED PROPOSAL OF ERECTION AND EMPLACEMENT, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAINING FACILITY FOR USE OF THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH CONSTRUCTION BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the amended proposal of Erection & Emplacement, Inc. as to paragraphs 1, 2, 3 and 5 for the construction of a training facility, located within the city limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to be used by the Paducah Fire Department, be accepted, said paragraphs of the amended proposal being dated August 5, 1974, and in compliance with the resolution requesting bids which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on July 2, 1974. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute a contract with Erection & Emplacement, Inc. for the construction of the training facility set forth in Section 1 above. That the total sum for said construction cost shall not exceed the sum of $52,347.00, such sum to be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 2225. SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
