ORDINANCE NO. 74-7-1001
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILKINS CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE KOLB PARK SWIMMING POOL,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH
CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Wilkins Construction
Company, Inc. for construction of a new swimming pool to be located in Kolb Park
in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, said bid being in the amount of $74,265.00
and said bid having the specifications as set out in the invitation for bids, contract
documents and the resolution authorizing such bids, which was adopted June 25, 1974,
and as contained in the bid of Wilkins Construction Company, Inc, dated July 15, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with Wilkins Construction Company, Inc. for the construction
project as set out in Section 1 above, according to said resolution, invitation for bids,
contract documents and said bid.
SECTION 3. All costs by the City of Paducah relating to the construction
and contract shall be charged to Account No. 5125.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declated to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
