HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 621, Ordinance Number 74-6-992621 ORDINANCE NO. 74-6-992 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTION (f) OF SECTION 2-21 "VACATION LEAVE GENERALLY", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That Sub -section (f) of Section 2-21, "Vacation leave generally" of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and rcordained so that said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 2-21. Vacation leave generally. (f) Members of a platoon in the fire department working shifts of twenty-four hours on duly and forty-eight hours off duty shall take all of his annual leave within the year and at one time and shall be entitled to six working days of annual leave with pay. Members of the fire department with more than twenty years consecutive service shall be entitled to seven working days annual leave with pay. Such vacation shall be taken with the approval and consent of the Fire Chief. Vacation pay shall be computed at the average pay the employee would receive for the period of time covered by the vacation based on an average work week of fifty-six hours." SECTION 2. Section 1 above amends an ordinance adopted November 25, 1947, and last amended by Ordinance No. 73-4-803 adopted April 10, 1973. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and retroactive to June 17, 1974.
