HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 606, Ordinance Number 74-6-984ORDINANCE NO. 74-6-984 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERIC TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO WEST END, LTD., WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky, has been apprised that some confusion has arisen over the true ownership of a certain public alleyway, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City of Paducah has never accepted the aforedescribed alleyway as a public way and has never asserted and does not now assert any ownership, control or jurisdiction over said alley, and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah, Kentucky and West End, Ltd. each desire to have the confusion clarified in the most expeditious manner possible, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to quitclaim any interest that the City of Paducah, Kentucky, might have into the following described property to West End, Ltd.: Beginning at a point on the Easterly side of North 29th Street, said point being 160 feet Northwardly from the Northeast corner of the inter- section of North 29th and Jefferson Streets; thence at right angles to the East line of 29th Street and parallel to Jefferson Street and East- wardly 374.08 feet; thence at right angles and Northwardly and parallel with the West line of Joe Clifton Drive (formerly 28th Street) 19.5 feet; thence at right angles and Westwardly and parallel to Jefferson Street 374.08 feet to the East line of North 29th Street. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
