ORDINANCE NO. 74-5-978
AN ORDINANCE• AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH BIAGI-HANNAN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
RENDERED IN CONNECTION WITH THE WEST END SEWER EXTENSION STUDY
WHEREAS, the City has realized the apparent need to extend sanitary sewer
services from the existing Coleman Road trunk line sewer, southward along Perkins
Creek in conjunction with the current annexation plans, and
WHEREAS, the City is also aware of the immediate plans of the Bureau of
Highways to construct Interstate 24 and other roadway improvements in and across
the projected sewer alignment, and
WHEREAS, the City has also realized that certain planning and design of
the sanitary sewer service is now necessary to minimize conflicts with Interstate 24
and other projects now planned or to be planned, and
WHEREAS, Biagi-Iiannan and Associates, Inc, have agreed to provide
certain necessary engineering services in connection with the aforesaid plans.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Biagi -Hannan and Associates, Inc, for professional
engineering services in regard with the West End Sewer Extension Study and to
minimize conflicts with Interstate 24 for a total sum not to exceed $12,500.00
said sum to be charged to Federal Revenue Sharing Account No. 3137.
SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full
force and effect immediately thereafter.
