ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-971 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMULSIFIED ASPHALT COMPANY FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF THE CITY'S REQUIREMENT OF ASPHALT FOR THE YEAR 1974, TO BE USED IN STREET CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR WORK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Emulsified Asphalt Company, dated April 12, 1974, for sale to the City of its 1974 requirement of asphalt, either liquid or emulsified, or both, to be used in street construction and repair work, said bid being in words and figures as follows: The following is our bid on Emulsified Asphalt for the year of 1974. All prices per gallon delivered by transport truck. RS -2 $0.3200 AE -200 $0.3200 Primer L $0.3500 Pug -Mill Rental $0.0100 If successful, we will furnish and install a 10,000 gallon, or larger storage tank. We guarantee that there will be no increase in price on this material during the year 1974, and if there is a reduction in the market price of emulsified asphalt we will reduce our price to the City of Paducah. If successful, we will post a performance bond in the amount of $2500.00 guaranteeing specifications and delivery. All material will meet Kentucky Highway specifications." Said bid being in substantial compliance with the resolution authorizing such bids, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on April 2, 1974. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute a contract with Emulsified Asphalt Company for the purchase of the items set forth in Section 1 above, and according to the terms and conditions of said bid and said resolution. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final adoption, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter. 4V Mayor Prufem 6!
