AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2-54(a) "AUTOMATIC
AND PROGRESSIVE INCREASE FOR APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES", OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sub -section (a) of Section 2-54 "Automatic and
progressive increase for appointive employees", be amended and reordained to
read in the following manner.
"Sec. 2-54. Automatic and progressive increase for appointive employees.
(a) From and after April 1, 1974, all appointive employees of the city,
with the exception of the city manager, members of the police department and
members of the fire department, shall have the following automatic and
progressive increase in salary:
One dollar S fifty cents ($1.50) per month for each complete year of
continuous service up to and including a total of twenty (20) years."
SECTION 2. This ordinance amends an ordinance adopted March 22, 1966 and
amended by Ordinance No. 70-4-314 adopted April 14, 1970, and further amended by
Ordinance No. 73-3-779 adopted March 13, 1973, and last amended by Ordinance
No. 74-4-943 adopted April 2, 1974.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
