ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-966
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS AT ADAMS
STREET, PLUNKETT STREET, 12TH STREET AND 13TH STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky does hereby authorize
the closing of certain streets and alleys at Adams Street, Plunkett Street, 12th Street
and 13th Street, described as follows:
1. All that portion of Adams Street extending from the east line of
South 13th Street to the west line of an alley in Block 9 of
Churchills Addition.
2. All that portion of South 12th Street extending from the south
line of Adams Street, southerly to the north line of an alley in
Block 9 of Churchills Addition, a distance of 224 feet, more or less.
3. All that portion of Plunkett Street from the north line of Adams
Street extending northerly a distance of 475 feet, more or less, to
the ICRR property.
4. A 16 foot alley in Block 12 of Churchills Addition situated between
and parallel to South 12th Street and South 13th Street and extending
from the south line of Adams Street in a southerly direction a
distance of 224 feet, more or less, to the north line of another alley
in said Block.
5. A 20 foot alley, 165 feet more or less west of Plunkett Street
and parallel to same, extending from the north line of Adams
Street in a northerly direction a distance of 450 feet, more or less,
to the ICRR property.
SECTION 2. That the Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
be, and he is hereby, authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute,
pursuant to KRS 94.360, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering
the closing of the streets and alleys described in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
