ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-965
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF MANNING EQUIPMENT, INC.
FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) THREE CUBIC YARD, FOUR WHEEL, SELF
PROPELLED STREET SWEEPER, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of
Manning Equipment, Inc., for sale to the City of one (1) Mobil Model 2 -TE -3
Sweeper for use in the Street Department, for the total sum of $19,209.00, less
trade-in of one (1) 1963 model three (3) wheel Elgin sweeper, serial number
K428 C23 in the amount of $2,000.00, for a net amount of $17,209.00, which includes
applicable taxes, said bid being in substantial compliance with bid specifications and
advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution adopted by the Board of Com-
missioners on March 19, 1974, and as contained in the bid of Manning Equipment, Inc.
dated April 6, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute a contract with Manning Equipment, Inc. for sale to the City of the
vehicle authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. The
purchase price for said vehicle shall be paid from Federal Revenue Sharing Trust
Fund Account No. 3414.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for one
week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
