AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF VICO Gill DIESEL, INC. FOR
SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE (1) DETROIT DIESEL FIRE ENGINE MODEL 1067-8040
FOR USE BY THE PADUCAH FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky, accept the bid of VICO GRT
Diesel, Inc. in the amount of $4,985.00, plus applicable taxes, for the sale to the
City of one (1) Detroit Diesel fire engine Model 1067-8040 , with options, for use by
the fire department, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications
and advertisement for bids as was authorized by resolution passed by the Board of
Commissioners on March 26, 1974, and as contained in the bid of VICO GM Diesel, Inc.
dated April 4, 1974.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute a contract with VICO GRT Diesel, Inc. for sale to the City of the engine
authorized in Section 1 above according to the specifications, bid proposal and
all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The purchase price for said vehicle shall be charged to
Federal Revenue Sharing Trust Fund Account No. 2214.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the
completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
