HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 518, Ordinance Number 74-4-951518/ ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-951 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTIONS (a) AND (c) OF SECTION 10-52 "STREET DEPARTMENT - GENERALLY" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That sub -section (a) of Section 10-52 "Street department - generally" , of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "Sec. 10-52. Street department - generally. (a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the street department and the salaries of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows: Position Base Monthly Salary Night Foreman 730.00 Foreman (4 positions) 695.00 Garage Foreman 695.00 Office manager 540.00 Base Hourly Rate Sewer maintenance man (6 positions) 3.41 Equipment operator "A11 (5 positions) 3.71 Equipment operator II1311 (6 positions) 3.61 Equipment operator "C" (2 positions) 3.51 Street repairman (6 positions) 3.31 Truck drivers (12 positions) 3.21 Night watchman 3.21 Laborers (3 positions) 2.96 Mechanic Class "A11 (6 positions) 3.71 Mechanic Class "B" 3.51 Mechanic helper 3.41 Concrete finisher (3 positions) 3.71 Vehicle body repairman 3.61 SECTION 2. That Sub -section (c) of Section 10-52 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that 519 said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows: "(c) Laborers. Laborers shall be paid at the rate of $2.98 per hour for the first six months of employment; at the expiration of six months $3.03 per hour; at the expiration of one year $3.08 per hour; and at the expiration of two years $3.13 per hour, such increases to be made upon recommendation of the city Manager." SECTION 3. This ordinance amends an ordinance adopted December 2, 1947, and last amended by Ordinance No. 74-3-937, adopted March 5, 1974. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be retroactive to April 1, 1974, and shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
