ORDINANCE NO. 74-4-944
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -SECTIONS (a) AND (c) OF SECTION
10-59 "PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT", AND SUB -SECTION (a) OF SECTION
10-61 "UNASSIGNED POSITIONS", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That sub -section (a) of Section 10-59 "Parks and recreation
department", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended
and reordained so that said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter
read as follows:
"Sec. 10-59. Parks and recreation department.
(a) There is hereby created and authorized the following positions in the
parks and recreation department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount
of such salary is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted,
shall be as follows:

Maintenance supervisor 740.00
Clerk -stenographer 485.00
Recreation supervisor 770.00
Assistant recreation supervisor 600.00
Senior citizens director 600.00

Maintenance Alan No. 1 (1 position) 3.51

Truck driver (1 position) 3.21
SECTION 2. That sub -section (c) of Section 10-59 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained so that
said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"(c) Truck drivers shall be paid at the base hourly rate for the first
six months of employment, and at the expiration of six months the rate shall be
increased by $0.05 per hour, such increase to be made upon recommendation of the

city manager.
SECTION 3. That sub -section (a) of Section 10-61 "Unassigned positions"
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be amended and reordained
so that said sub -section as amended and reordained shall hereafter read as follows:
"Sec. 10-61. Unassigned positions.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions not
assigned to any department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision
of the city manager, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary
is not changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

SECTION 4. That Sections 1 and 2 of this ordinance amends an ordinance
adopted April 11, 1972, and last amended by Ordinance No. 74-3-937, adopted
March 51974. Section 3 amends an ordinance adopted December 2, 1947, and last
amended by Ordinance No. 73-3-937 adopted March 5, 1974.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and retroactive to April 1, 1974.
