ORDINANCE NO. 74-3-940
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BCD OF QUALITY CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SECONDARY WASTEWATER TREATMENT
FACILITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR
SUCH CONSTRUCTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH,KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Quality Construction
Company for the construction of a Secondary Wastewater Treatment Facility in the
total base bid amount of $2,189,888.00, said bid being in compliance with the plans
and specifications prepared by Florence a Hutcheson, Inc. Consulting Engineers,
and with the resolution authorizing bids heretofore adopted by the Board of
Commissioners.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with
Quality Construction Company for the construction of a Secondary Wastewater Treatment
Facility according to Section 1 above and according to the plans and specifications
and contract documents prepared by the consulting engineers and incorporated
in the Invitation for Bids and the Bid Proposal.
SECTION 3. The cost of the contract shall be payable from a Grant
from the Environmental Protection Association and from the sale of Revenue Bonds
by the City of Paducah and the contract shall be conditioned upon the sale of said
bonds.
SECTION 4. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage
and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
