HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 445, Ordinance Number 74-1-926445 ORDINANCE NO. 74-1-926 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH 16TH STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON STREETS, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE -1971 SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning Commission January 7, 1974, entitled "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON NORTH 16TH STREET BETWEEN BROADWAY AND JEFFERSON STREETS", be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification change and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be, and it is hereby, changed from R-2, Low and Medium Density Residential Zone to B-3, General Business Zone: Beginning at a point in the center line of North 16th Street, which point is 208 feet north of the center line of the inter- section of Broadway and North 16th Street; thence in a northerly direction along and with the centerline of North 16th Street, a distance of 60 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction a distance of 25 feet to a point, same being the point of the northwest property line of the Don Hartline property; thence continuing easterly along the Don Hartline property line a distance of 54 feet to a point, same being the NE point of the property line between the Don Hartline and {Yard Thomas property; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction along and with said dividing line a distance of 16 feel to a point; thence in an easterly direction a distance of 21.56 feet to a point; thence in a southeasterly direction a distance of 20.83 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in an easterly direction a distance of 12.75 feet to a point; thence at right angles and in a southerly direction a distance of 14 feet to a point in the north property line of Western Kentucky Gas Company; thence at right angles and in a westerly direction with the property line between Western Kentucky Gas Company and the Don Hartline property and along the center line of a 15 foot alley a distance of 111.75 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
