HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 434, Ordinance Number 74-1-923434, 6� ORDINANCE NO. 74-1-923 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1974 WITH WOODALL & MELTON, INC. WHEREAS, the present Workmen's Compensation Insurance coverage for the employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, expired on January 1, 1974, and WHEREAS, the City of Paducah must purchase a new policy, and WHEREAS, Woodall & Melton, Inc. has submitted the proposal which the Board of Commissioners feels best serves the needs of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to purchase Workmen's Compensation Insurance from Woodall & Melton, Inc. as agents for Reliance Insurance Company, covering the employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, from January 1, 1974 to January 1, 1975, for a deposit premium of $82,532.00 and such additional sums as may be required for payroll increases above the payroll for the preceding year. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for at least one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten days thereafter.
