HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance Book 18, Page 40, Ordinance Number 73-1-75340 7 ORDINANCE NO. 73-1-753 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, WITH GRESHAM & KERR, JOHN KEELING ASSOCIATES, FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE STATION AT 17TH AND BROADWAY WHEREAS, the architectural firm of Gresham & Kerr, John Keeling Associates, has submitted to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a standard form of agreement between owner and architect for professional architectural services to be rendered in design and construction of a fire station to be located at 17th and Broadway in Paducah, Kentucky, which proposed agreement was received and filed with the Minutes of this Board on January 23, 1973, and WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been found to be in a standard form and appropriate for the services required, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute an agreement between the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and Gresham & Kerr, John Keeling Associates for architectural services in the design and construction of a fire station to be located at 17th and Broadway in Paducah, Kentucky, said contract being verbatim and in all respects identical to the proposed agreement which was received and filed with the Minutes of the Board of Commissioners' Meeting on January 23, 1973, and which proposed agreement is adopted herein by reference. SECTION 2. An emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall therefore be introduced and remain on file for one week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in full force and effect immediately thereafter.
